DIY EXPERIENCE

As Kit Car enthusiasts we at Southside Concepts have realised people build Kit Cars because they can!

As an individual we can buy our shell and chassis, source the parts, spend many painstaking hours putting it all together to create our very own, unique vehicle. At which point the car is then handed over to a body shop who takes it away, paints it and returns the finished article all shiny and transformed.

Well, no longer do you have to miss out on what may be considered the most important part of the project.

At Southside Concepts we offer you the unique opportunity to take part in this last stage of your cars evolution.

As part of your repaint price you get to come along and be involved in the process during a day of ultimate DIY experience.

Your DIY experience schedule:

• Arrival 9.00am
• Enjoy your Tea or Coffee as you tour our workshop
• A brief outline on Health and Safety
• We run through a demonstration of the equipment you will use and give you the chance to familiarise yourself with it
• You then get your first shot at spraying with a practice session on some prepared panels
• Lunch
• After lunch you will mix the colour of your choice. Your colour can be chosen prior to your visit or on the day
• Then its time to get equipped and under our expert guidance you will take part in painting your own car

To commemorate the day we provide:

• A unique VIN plate giving all the paint reference and date details.
• A photographic record
• A Southside Concepts T-Shirt

And it doesn’t end there. You are invited to revisit us at any time as we put your vehicle through the finishing stages of its repaint.
